I'm just glad he did this without killing himself or others before getting a job as a commercial pilot. I'd like to think all commercial pilots were as conscientious as you and the ones I flew with (warily) when I had a job. I liked it when I could see the pilots attending their duties and drinking coffee and never panicked. Not so much with the airline pilots who were out of sight but probably just as good.
