As a Cubs fan who has had to deal with the Ricketts family and their Trump support[1], I figure that by continuing to watch my local team (they play a couple of blocks from where I live), this brings Balance to the Force once more. :-)

I have a few problems with boycotting some of the corporations involved because it would affect my financial well-being. But I will boycott those I can easily do without. I suppose I'm somewhat like the MLB commissioner. I would not resign from Augusta National. Boycotting pro sports is easy. It's getting easier every year to boycott college sports also.

There are a few stores with which I conduct minimal business, but I still shop them if , at the time, it is most convenient. Soda products are seldom purchased and, when they are, price is the determining factor, not name. I agree that boycotts are ineffective. I don't think the threat of boycott induced these CEOs to make a statement. They responded to the high volume of phone calls and letters received requesting they take action.
