It was good to see and hear Shapiro talk yesterday at the rally, stating his drive to get Harris-Walz elected and his pride for his faith.
Walz fills the gaps in Harris's resume/profile better than Shapiro (who overlaps far more), and appears content being a #2 and not #1 (which Shapiro clearly is the latter). Shapiro speaks well, and might be our first Jewish president some day.
I think it's a bit the opposite: the Shapiro pick would have been for a more narrow electoral strategy, with Walz being selected for the ability to appeal to more people across the nation as a whole.
I'll also disagree with you: you're in Georgia, you're absolutely needed.
Unrelated: Cori Bush lost her primary. The Democrats continue to clean house.
I believe lickspittle, a fawning toady, would apply to any VP candidate. When have you ever heard one knock the benefactor who might be their path to at least four years of political fame?
The die is cast. I'm just waiting to see if Trump can control himself well enough to preserve his slight chance of winning against democrat socialist opponents who irresponsibly refuse to protect our borders and will take away parental rights from those who insist on having a say-so about the treatment of gender delusions by their minor children. A few years ago, this would have been a no-contest. However, Trump hate is the most powerful emotion on earth.
Every time you remind me about NH’s rabid libertarian infestation, I hear horses whinny in the background. Somewhere Frau Blucher is smiling.
It's FRAHN-ken-shteen, not Frankenstein!
Indeed

GOP can nominate better candidates, and then I would vote for them.
Can't argue with that. I, like Bill Barr, will not sit it out and will vote for the candidate who, in my opinion, will do the least damage.
But the democrats don't have to???
Interesting read Steve, but you left me curious: would picking Shapiro have been your tipping point?
By the way, is "lickspittle" a Georgia thing? As i ponder the question, it sounds more like a word that would be used by Tim Walz. Hmmmmmmmmmm?
Here's some "lickspittle" for ya...
