How true. Waiting for your next jogging epiphany.

Obamacare has accomplished nothing except increasing the cost of health insurance for those who manage their finances instead of buying bass boats and motorcycles. Now that the individual mandate is gone (unless democrats win the Georgia senate seats) irresponsible citizens can waste even more money while still getting public assistance. The truly needy already had Medicaid which pays for over half the childbirths in the USA. Preexisting conditions are not an insurance matter and could have been handled through limited assistance pools at far less cost.

I have a small disagreement concerning Trump campaign court challenges to the election. While Trump's lawyers were ill prepared, there was evidence. I watched Ken Starr tell the Senate hearing this morning that the court cases should have been heard on merit but the vast majority of them were rejected for procedural reasons. I know Starr is a Republican but he is one of the smart ones.

I usually just ignore stupid statements, but it grows ever more difficult to turn the other cheek. David is spot on, the lies coming out of trump et al's mouth are just too much. Of course Curtis had to jump in with that tired old bullshit about how Obamacare drove health care costs off the charts. Yes costs rose but they had been since 1980. I can post the percentage increases year by year and prove how wrong you are, but why bother? Wrap yourself in the delusions and stay comfortable in the echo chamber. All i can say is thank God Biden beat trump fair and square, now maybe in 2021 we can begin the return to normalcy.

Go ahead and post. I'm interested.

The legend of years of percentage increases is too to cut and paste so i will simply provide the link and you can see them: https://www.thebalance.com/causes-of-rising-healthcare-costs-4064878

I read it and let's just say I'm not convinced. The article states that medical costs grew at 4.3% between 2010 and 2018 when the rate of inflation was depressed by a slow recovery from a depression. It does not address $5000, and higher, deductions and out-of-pocket costs over $10,000. Much of the discussion is focused on controlling government payments for healthcare.

I did notice the author is an MIT MBA and wrote an Obamacare handbook. Do you suppose she has been in contact with Jonathan Gruber?

They presented in court over 50 times and they lost all but one.

There was little or no chance to present evidence in court. According to Ken Starr, the vast majority were dismissed for procedural reasons even when the cases had merit. I believe Judge Starr.

And it is your right to do that. If you actually took the time to read what the judges thought of their cases though in their findings you would get a much different picture.

"This Court has allowed plaintiff the chance to make his case and he has lost on the merits,” US district judge Brett Ludwig(Trump appointed).

And so many other examples. You are right though, they lost alot of cases because complaining about election procedures after you lose the election looks alot like sour grapes.

"Judge Ludwig called the case “extraordinary,” saying the president could have challenged the manner in which Wisconsin officials were handling the election before the vote — not after."

As I said, Ken Starr stated the vast majority of the cases were dismissed for procedural reasons. The merits of the case were that election officials allowed absentee ballots for reason of indefinite confinement without the required certifications as required by law.

You mean this Ken Starr Curtis: In 1999, he (trump) told MSNBC: "I think Ken Starr is a lunatic, I really think that Ken Starr is a disaster. I really think that Ken Starr was terrible."

It's my opinion. Do not know why you're quoting Trump as an authority instead of addressing my comment.
