My money is on Noem. Lake was the frontrunner for me, until it became clear how unliked she was in Arizona.

On the border bill, OK's James Langford has been pushing to get it done, only to be censured by his local state party:

Good comments on VP possibilities except for mentioning most of the females. Nikki Haley would be a good candidate. I like Noem but she lacks a national perspective. The others are a bit fringy except MTG to west Georgians like you (joke intended).

Regarding the border, I believe a few more restrictive conditions such as lower thresholds for closing the border, and faster resolution of asylum claims, and provisions for enforcement of Joe Biden's promises could lead to a true compromise. For ordinary citizens like me, lack of trust in the Administration is the prime objection to what we know so far about the proposal.

The three US military personnel killed in Jordan were all black Americans from Georgia (Carrollton, Savannah and Waycross). I heard they were killed by an enemy drone that avoided being destroyed by following a US surveillance drone back to its base.
