At the least: make a filibuster require 41 nay votes instead of 60 yea votes. Make the group that wants to filibuster a bill make a stand on the matter at hand. As it is, a vote could be 59-1 and it'd be successfully filibustered: that's just insane.

Regarding redistricting: a lot of proposals coming from Democrats are generally applicable and non-partisan in their intent and implementation. All mail-in or non-excuse mail-in voting isn't partisan. Making Election Day a holiday, and/or taking place on a Saturday, isn't partisan. Ranked choice voting isn't partisan. The only way the GOP can view it as such is an acknowledgement that their current positions aren't popular, and they'd have to change if they wanted to maintain power.

Redistricting is a stain on the nation that need be done away with...forever. Shameful what has happened for scumbags to carve out safe districts and smugly act as if they are legitimate. No one is worse than Jim Jordan and what he has done to keep his sorry ass safe. Shameful.

What is maddening is to listen to Mitch tell us the election system is fine the way it is. And in fact, 2020 with the turnout being what is was, we should embrace all of those pieces that made it easier for folks to vote. Voting is a good thing...right?

But wait, there's more. There are some 400 bills in state houses to restrict voting rights and insure voting isn't as easy as it was in 2020. So which is it? The system is fine the way it is? Or, it's broken really bad and we have to change everything so only the right people can vote?

Democrats realize that when all things are even they win. And current population trends point to that being the case for years to come. Republicans know that if things are fair they are dead in the water. As such they will use whatever dirty trick in the book they can to ensure they stay competitive and in power.
