I saw the Carville interview and mentioned to my wife; "i can actually understand what he said." Usually he speaks so fast i have to read the closed captions or have her interpret for me. That aside, i think he is spot on; 50/50.

I found it curious to listen to them talk about debate prep. Trump's sounded pretty lame, and frankly he is so undisciplined as a human being, it almost doesn't matter. He simply cannot help being anything but what he is; a bombastic narcissist.

Frankly i do hope he shows up; the sight of him screaming into a turned off mic and having no impact on what Joe is saying will be priceless...and telling. And, as you indicated, just like his failure to testify in any of his trials speaks volumes to what his professional handlers know about him. They've got to keep him from speaking extemporaneously. Foot in mouth disease has been apparent his entire life and over the last couple of years he's found ways to get both feet there at the same time.

Here's hoping he shows, getting the old popcorn popper fired up and ready to kick back and watch "tired old Joe" destroy the great one. Here's the oddity; Joe doesn't need to do much other than stay lucid while trump's only hope is not to be trumpy. Good luck with that.

Biden should be setting the stage for Trump to not show up, saying he'd show up regardless.

A bigger part of Biden's problem is the "vibecession", as Will Stencil puts it. Our economic factors are pretty good/great, and if Trump was president the media would be saying so - but because it's Biden/a Dem in office the media just has not been saying so. It's shown up in polls as "I'm doing well, the country is not".
