You may be correct. It might cause the democrats to lose some style points but it's too close to risk them being able to bribe a few Senators of both parties. Once it comes to a vote, all it takes is 51-49 or 51-50. I prefer the sure kill rather than relying on Nancy and her gang to screw things up.

It seems wrong that some votes require 60 votes, while others are 50+VP. There's also something to be said about requiring 41 nay votes for a successful filibuster, instead of 60 yea votes to proceed. Right now, a vote could be 59-1 and the bill would still be dead. I'd prefer if either party had to make a real stand on an issue to successfully filibuster.

The story was covered by literally every single news network. Even far left organizations like Huffpo have run stories. Newsweek has an article about democrats "elitist" problem. So to suggest the issue is being buried is just more made up nonsense you and the rest of the bad media right use to bash them.

It's too bad you ended on that big pile of horse dung because your take on the voting rights act was actually half way decent and instead of talking about that we have to correct more of your lies.
