Welcome to The Racket News™ very special podcast featuring our own New Hampshire correspondent, Jay Berman.
We discuss why New Hampshire is different than many other primaries, due to it’s large number of “unenrolled” independent voters, and how that can lead to surprises in outcomes.
Some new information since we recorded:
The New Hampshire Secretary of State projects a record 320,000 Republican ballot votes in Tuesday’s primary.
There are currently 257,000 registered Republicans, 262,000 Democrats and 343,000 unenrolled voters in the state.
If the polling percentages hold, it looks like Trump’s best case is somewhere just under 200,000 votes, and Haley’s is at least 120,000 votes, with 80,000 votes “in play” depending on turnout by registered Republicans and unenrolled who choose to vote on the Republican ballot.
Also, we review some political ads running in the Granite State. Here’s the main Nikki Haley ad, focusing on her new campaign mantra, “chaos, negativity and grievances of the past.”
