Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been at war. This is the longest war in the nation’s history—longer than its two year bloody war of independence; longer than its war in southern Lebanon in the 1980s; orders of magnitude longer than the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur Wars combined. You might say that modern Israel has been at war for 80 years, essentially for all of its existence. But never like this war.
Covering this war from inside Israel, as an Israeli Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus), is one of the most unique jobs in that country, if not in the world. Yair Pinto works for TBN Israel and his show “Boots on the Ground,” is seen by millions around the world. TBN Israel’s YouTube channel has nearly 1.8 million subscribers, and Pinto’s daily reports is a major reason for the channel’s growth.
We had the opportunity to speak with Yair on October 8th about his faith, his country, and the war he has, along with many other Israelis, fought as an IDF reservist, as well as a journalist.
Please join us as we learn his fascinating story, with more than a nod to his mother’s prayers and miracles. Yair has recently released his experiences in book form. Check out “Boots on the Ground: A War Journal of an IDF Reservist,” or you can get it on Amazon.
